Our Story...
First meeting
It all started with a few texts from some old friends before attending a friend’s wedding in Philly on a cold December night. What stemmed from that is one of the true American love stories. Lane and Jamie were set up at the nuptials of Dan “Stumps” Cianciarulo and Jenn Doody. Stumps, one of Jamie’s friends and fellow rugby teammates from Gettysburg College and Jenn, a long time friend of Lane’s from childhood, thought that there might be some chemistry between the two. Leading up to the wedding both Lane and Jamie got text messages saying that there was someone that Jenn and Stumps wanted them to meet. Off the two went to the wedding with open minds and an insatiable hunger to tear up the dancefloor. After seeing Lane from afar at the ceremony, Jamie knew he had to meet her at the reception. A few cocktails later, Stumps introduced the two right as the band started their rendition of Don’t Stop Believin’. That night the two exchanged contact info before Lane got into her Uber stagecoach and rode off into the night. Once back in DC, the two arranged to go on a date. That date lead to another about a week later and the rest was history.
The proposal
One June weekend in 2015, with family members hiding in the nearby woods, Jamie brought Lane down to her family’s dock in Pocono Lake Preserve. What was months of planning all culminated in one moment of suspense abruptly ended by Lane screaming “yes” to Jamie’s question. The two were then met by cheers and champagne by those hiding beside the lakeshore....and a big party up at the Claghorn Camp!
