Directions

Please leave yourself ample travel time in case you miss a turnoff or two - Pocono Lake Preserve is a very small community with narrow roads and terrible signage (we say lovingly). PLP is not accessible by public transportation, so we recommend driving.

If you use a GPS or Google Maps on your phone to get to the lake, use Access Road, Tobyhanna, PA as your destination and make sureyoure going to the lake above. If you type in "Pocono Lake Preserve" you'll be directed to the wrong place! Follow the directions below once you turn off PA-940 and onto the dirt road. The access code for the gate is 0924.

From Philadelphia & Points South (2 hours)

  • Take I-476 North (PA Turnpike NE Extension) to exit 95

  • Turn left onto PA-940 East

  • Go about 5 miles to the intersection with PA-115 at Blakeslee (you will see a Wawa on corner). This means you're on the right path!

  • Continue about 2 ¼ miles on PA-940 East. Look for the “Forest Glen” sign on the left. On the right, look for a yellow diamond highway sign with a curving arrow and “45 MPH”

  • 50 yards past this sign, turn right on the dirt road marked “Back Road.” On Google Maps, this road is named “Access Road.” This is the entrance to Pocono Lake Preserve. If you see the Luciano's Restaurant on your left, you have overshot the Entrance to PLP – turn around!

  • Continue on the dirt road about ½ mile until you come to a gate. At the gate, punch in the access code (0924).

  • Follow the dirt road for about 2 miles. When you see a fork in the road, go left. After about 20 meters, there will be another fork - go left again towards “Office.” After about 100 meters, you will see tennis courts on the left and a parking lot on your right. Park here! The wedding ceremony will take place nearby at the Church Grove (you will see signs on your way to the parking lot), and the reception will be at the Dining Camp by the end of the lot.

  • Once you're on I-80: Follow I-80 until Exit 284 towards Blakeslee

  • Turn Right onto I-115 N, and follow for 1 mile

  • Turn Right onto PA-940 East
